From Flame to Fax: A Typographic Act of Rebellion
This project is a form of social commentary, centered on a defiant, experimental typography made with flame on thermal paper. My co-creators and I developed this font to disrupt institutional discourse and give voice to the people, inspired by the spirit of graffiti culture.
The process itself is a statement. We crafted the glyphs by hand, using a flame to singe and shape the characters directly onto heat-sensitive thermal paper. The final typographic specimen, measuring an imposing 8.9m length, was then printed using a fax machine. This choice of a fragile and obsolete technology to distribute the message contrasts with the permanence of institutional power, reinforcing the project's core message.
This work highlights my expertise in experimental design and my ability to use unconventional tools to create a powerful, thought-provoking message that challenges established norms.
